“D-d-do you have to be here, _______-san?” Kiku asked timidly, nervously fidgeting. You sat on the couch, watching the HetaCorp employee working on Kiku.

You reach your home with the wounded Hetaloid. "Hang on a minute." You said to him as you helped lean against the side of the house, taking out your keys from your pocket. Kiku watches as you unlock the 2 different locks before opening the door and helping him inside. You quickly close the door, locking it, before leading Kiku to the couch.

"See you later!" You wave to your friend as you begin your short trek home from her house.
"Be careful!" She called back from the front of her house. She then said something in Japanese that you believed was the equivalent to what she had just said in English.
Your friend was a quarter American, her father being half, and she lived half her life in Japan. She kept almost a flawless "perfect Japanese" mask but you knew all the cracks.
